Special Performance board is a cement-based building board for wet rooms. It comes with a factory-made water insulation layer on both sides. Special Performance board fulfils the requirements set by the National Building Code of Finland for water and moisture insulation (see section C2, Moisture).
Special Performance board can be covered with tiles designed for wet rooms, with a glass fabric or wet room wallpaper. Installing the board which has been water-insulated is quick and easy. Once the board has been fitted, only the through-holes, joints and screw heads are protected with Minerit water insulation strip or mass. Since Special Performance board contains cement, mould growth is prevented effectively in wet rooms.
The light and durable board is suited for both new construction and renovation. Special Performance board is ideally suited for bathrooms, wet rooms, utility rooms and industrial kitchen and laundries.
Special Performance board with a water insulation system has been awarded product certificate number C122/00 by VTT, the Research Centre of Finland.
